7 REGIONAL COURSE
At some future time it may be possible to form a regional faculty to produce a course which was accredited by a university in the region.

8 ASIAN PACIFIC HOSPICE ASSOCIATION
It was agreed that the Network could become the basis for an Asian Pacific Hospice Association within 3 to 5 years. It may be possible for such an Association to produce a journal as a stimulus to research. However, it was agreed that caution should be exercised because much time, money and energy would be needed.

9 PALLIATIVE CARE EDUCATION
It was agreed there was a need to revamp undergraduate medical education which at present focussed primarily on cure. It was suggested that those involved in the network should advocate for the introduction of palliative care concepts into the medical curricula in their own countries.

10 DIRECTORY OF COMPLIMENTARY THERAPIES
It was agreed that this would not proceed at this time.

11 INTERFACE WITH HOSPICE ORGAN ISATIONS & INSTITUTES
Dr Hong is a member of the Board of the International Hospice Institute & College which is meeting in London in September 1997. There are other similar organisations being established. It was agreed that a panel be set up which would monitor these organisations and the relevance of their programs for hospices in this region.

12 PRESSRELEASE
Dr Libby Smales suggested that participating organisations organise a press release about the network as soon as possible after their return to their own countries.
